Mahindra Upgrades Electric SUVs with Wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto

Mahindra has rolled out a significant software update for its electric SUVs, the XUV 9e and BE6, introducing wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as a standard feature across all variants. This enhancement addresses a key demand from early adopters and improves smartphone connectivity for a seamless driving experience.

Update all electric varients

  • Standard in All New Deliveries: The wireless connectivity feature is now pre-installed in all factory-dispatched vehicles, from the base Pack One to the top-tier Pack Three.
  • Qualcomm-Powered Tech: The system runs on a Snapdragon chip, supporting 5G connectivity, dual 12.3-inch displays, built-in apps, and remote vehicle controls.
  • Existing Owners Need a Dealership Visit: While new buyers get the feature by default, current owners may have to visit a service center for the update—Mahindra has yet to confirm an over-the-air (OTA) option.

XUV 9e vs. BE6: Different Strengths

  • XUV 9e (Starting at ₹21.9 Lakh): A luxury-focused electric SUV with a 656 km rangetriple screens, an AR head-up display, and Level 2+ ADAS. It also boasts a premium 16-speaker sound system.
  • BE6 (Starting at ₹18.9 Lakh): A sportier EV with rear-wheel drive, a 0-100 km/h sprint in 6.7 seconds, a Boost mode, and a 683 km range. Its design takes inspiration from fighter jets.

Strong Market Response

At launch, the two EVs combined received over 30,000 bookings in a single day, with the XUV 9e accounting for 59% of reservations and the BE6 making up the remaining 41%. Mahindra has already delivered 11,000+ units and is ramping up production to meet demand and reduce waiting periods.

This update reinforces Mahindra’s commitment to enhancing its EV lineup with cutting-edge technology, making the XUV 9e and BE6 even more appealing to tech-savvy buyers.
