Exploring the Ancient Baijnath Temple in Himachal Pradesh
For a long time, I had been planning to visit the Ancient Baijnath Temple in Palampur, Himachal Pradesh. But somehow, every time I made a plan, it would get canceled for one reason or another. Today finally, that plan became a reality. I’m excited to share that this is also the beginning of my blogging journey — and what better way to start than with a spiritual and scenic trip?

This morning, my wife and I decided to just go for it. No overthinking, no delays — just packed up and hit the road. There’s nothing better than driving through cool winds, under a cloudy sky, breathing in the fresh mountain air.

After a smooth ride, we reached Baijnath. The moment we arrived, I could feel something different in the atmosphere. The weather here was magical — light rain the sound of the river flowing nearby, clouds gently kissing the mountains — it all felt like therapy for the soul. Good vibes all around.

As we entered the ancient Baijnath Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, we were welcomed by the serenity and spiritual aura of the place. Just then, the pujari (priest) asked us to move aside as it was time for the bhog (offering) and the aarti (prayer ceremony).

Soon, the aarti started and it was a powerful, peaceful moment. Everyone joined in prayer and took darshan (divine view) of Lord Shiva. After spending some time inside, we stepped out soaking in the spiritual energy of the temple.

Since the bhandara (community meal) hadn’t started yet and we had other things to do, we decided to head back home. On the way, we stopped at a local eatery and enjoyed some delicious food. Finally, we reached home, feeling refreshed, blessed and happy.
This visit was not just a trip — it was a beautiful start to two new journeys: one spiritual and the other, my journey as a blogger. I hope you enjoyed reading this as much as I enjoyed living it. More stories and experiences coming soon!
